Division of Commissioned Corps Training and Career Development
(DCCTCD)
The mission of DCCTCD is to establish, maintain, and administer programs that provide meaningful training for new and experienced officers, and to aid those officers in the development of their careers, to meet the mission of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps (Corps). The Division has three major areas of responsibility:
  • Establish a learning environment;
  • Through the Commissioned Officer Training Academy mission is to train and inspire commissioned officers to lead by example, promote Corps values, and protect the Nation’s health; and
  • Provide unique “Corps Officer” expertise and guidance for the development, performance, and progression of Corps officers throughout the life cycle of an officer, as they serve to meet the mission of the Corps.
