SEPARATIONS

Officer and Dependent(s) travel to a location equal to or less than the officer’s Home of Record (HOR) or point last called to active duty (PLEAD)

Shipment of HHG initiated with 180 days of PO Effective Date

1. Non-Temporary Storage at Point of Origin for 180 days from effective date of personnel order (If HHGs are moved from Point of Origin (last duty station) no NTS storage is authorized)
2. Temporary Storage authorized on any HHG not put into NTS

If Government Travel (Contract Carrier, e.g., Air Fare, Train etc.) is Not Provided, then: Monetary Allowance In Lieu of Transportation Plus Flat Per Diem (MALT PLUS) is authorized.

RETIREMENTS

Officer and Dependent(s) Travel to Home of Selection

(Officer must designate Home of Selection in writing and receive Personnel Orders with Home of Selection designation prior to shipment of HHG)

Shipment of HHG within 1 year of PO Effective Date

1. Non-Temporary Storage at Point of Origin for 1 year from effective date of personnel order (If HHGs are moved from Point of Origin (last duty station) no NTS storage is authorized)
2. Temporary Storage authorized on any HHG not put into NTS

If Government Travel (Contract Carrier, e.g., Air Fare, Train etc.) is Not Provided, then: Monetary Allowance In Lieu of Transportation Plus Flat Per Diem (MALT PLUS) is authorized.
