APAOC Call for Nominations for the 2006 RADM Samuel Lin Award and 2006 Junior Officer Award Deadline Date Extended to: 10 March 2006 |
The Asian Pacific American Officers Committee (APAOC) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2006 RADM Samuel Lin Award (for officers O-5 and above), and the 2006 Junior Officer Award (for officers O-4 and below). These awards have been developed to promote the future leadership of Asian Pacific Americans in the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) by honoring members of the commissioned corps or equivalent civil service professionals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the Nation’s health. |

The nomination documents must be submitted online through the APAOC Web site. To submit a nomination, please visit APAOC’s Web site at http://www.usphs-apaoc.org and click on “Award Nomination Form.” |
These awards are open to both PHS Commissioned Corps officers and civil service professionals. Nominations may come from a supervisor, professional colleague, or anyone who through a professional working relationship can attest to the impact of the nominee’s contribution to the advancement of public health. Self-nominations will not be accepted, and current APAOC voting members are not eligible for these awards. |
Nominations will be accepted through 28 February 2006. The awards will be presented in Denver in May at the 2006 Public Health Service Professional Conference that is sponsored by the Commissioned Officers Association (http://www.coausphs.org). |
