FDA to Hold Annual Commissioned Corps Promotion Ceremony on 13 July 2007 |

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will hold its 12th Annual Commissioned Corps
Promotion Ceremony on Friday, 13 July 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at Martin’s Crosswinds,
7400 Greenway Center Drive, Greenbelt, MD. The ceremony will honor officers of the
Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service who are being recognized for
their accomplishments by promotion in rank during the 2006 Promotion Year.

| Dr. Andrew C. von Eschenbach, M.D., Commissioner of FDA, is expected to officiate
as the individual placing the new rank on the shoulders of each of the deserving
officers.
