Opportunity for Federal Employees to Apply for a Fellowship in Japan

Federal employees with a strong career interest in issues of importance to the United States-Japan relationship now have the opportunity to apply for a Mike Mansfield Fellowship.
 
During the 2-year program, Fellows spend 1 year working full-time in Japanese government offices, preceded by 1 year of full-time rigorous language and area studies training in the United States. After completing the program, Fellows return to their U.S. agencies with the skills and expertise that enable them to contribute to their agencies' Japan-related work.
 
The Fellowship application deadline is 3 April 2006.
