National Institutes of Health to Hold Annual Promotion Ceremony on 20 July 2007 |

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold its 5th Annual Commissioned Corps Promotion Ceremony on Friday, 20 July, at 1:00 p.m. in the Masur Auditorium in the Warren Grant Magnuson building on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD. This ceremony recognizes those distinguished officers of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service whose lofty accomplishments during the 2006 promotion year merit promotion.

The NIH Director, Dr. Elias Zerhouni, will provide opening remarks and the Acting
Surgeon General, RADM Kenneth Moritsugu, will exchange officers’ shoulder boards,
indicating their achievement of promotion. NIH officers who were called to active
duty and those NIH officers who retired in the past year will also be acknowledged
at the ceremony.
