Hurricane Season 2005 |
| |
|
The National Weather Service is projecting a heavy hurricane season for 2005 in the United States.
The Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness has requested that OFRD identify teams of medical
and public health professionals that can deploy to a hurricane, if required. This differs from previous
requests in that officers are asked to obtain supervisory pre-approval for their month on a roster.
If needed for a deployment during their on-call month, officers will be deployed for up to 14 days,
depending on the needs of the response. Officers on the July, August, September, or October roster should
go to http://ccrf.hhs.gov/ccrf/missions/Hurricanes2005.htm
to apply to be on the deployment roster. |
