Important News for Promotion Eligible Officers |
The Office of Force Readiness and Deployment (OFRD) has released data pertaining to all officers’ basic readiness status for the most recent administrative review. If you were eligible for competitive temporary grade promotion review during the Spring 2007 cycle and are listed as not basic ready, then you cannot be promoted and personnel policy dictates that you are to be taken to a board for consideration of retention, termination, or other appropriate action (references: PPM 07-001. Extension of Manual Circular 377, effective 3 November 2006 http://dcp.psc.gov/eccis/documents/PPM07_001.pdf and Commissioned Corps Instruction 23.4.2, Temporary Promotions, effective 19 December 2006 http://dcp.psc.gov/eccis/documents/CCPM23_4_2.pdf). |
Please immediately review your basic readiness status by accessing the OFRD Web site (http://ccrf.hhs.gov/ccrf/) and logging into the OFRD database. Once logged in, select the Officer Summary Page button from the Officer Main Menu. Your data will display, including your readiness status in the upper left box. Select “details” to identify those requirements (if any) you were missing for basic readiness status at the time of the most recent administrative check. |
If you believe your OFRD basic readiness data is incorrect, you should immediately provide documentation to OFRD supporting your contention that you were in compliance with readiness standards as of 30 April 2007. OFRD will accept documentation received no later than the close of business on 11 May 2007 to contest your most recent OFRD basic readiness status. Documentation should be submitted using the following contact information: |
