Promotion Year 2007 Permanent Grade Promotions Announced |
The Office of Commissioned Corps Operations, in the Office of the Surgeon General, completed the annual permanent grade competitive promotion process for Promotion Year 2007 with issuance of 418 permanent promotions to grades O-3 through O-6. A total of 1,445 files were reviewed by the 2007 Annual Permanent Promotion Boards. |
The 2007 promotion success rates, approved by the Assistant Secretary for Health,
are as follows: 45 percent to the Permanent O-4 Grade; 85 percent to the Permanent O-5 Grade; and 64 percent to the Permanent O-6 Grade. |
A list of all officers promoted during the 2007 promotion cycle is available from a link on the main page of the Commissioned Corps Management Information Systems (CCMIS) Web site - http://dcp.psc.gov - or under the CCMIS menu item "Services" and "Promotion Results." The permanent promotions are effective 1 July 2007, or will be effective on the officer's date of eligibility. |
Several officers were removed from the successful list after administrative reviews were completed. These included officers who were not promoted because they did not meet force readiness standards on 30 April 2007 or medical criteria when administrative checks were conducted. |
In the near future, the personnel order effecting the permanent grade promotion will be posted in the officer's electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) under the Personnel Orders (pink) section. The promotion board score sheet and Promotion Information Report for each reviewed officer is already posted in the Confidential Document (beige) section of the eOPF. |
Congratulations to those selected for promotion, and all officers are encouraged to continue to serve visibly with pride and distinction. |
