Regular Corps Assimilation Update |
The 2006 Regular Corps assimilation list was nominated by the President on 11 April 2007 and confirmed by the Senate on 20 April 2007. This summer, those officers who were nominated and confirmed will receive form PHS-5141-2, “Appointment Affidavit – Regular Corps,” (oath of office) via e-mail. Prior to e-mailing the oath of office, the Office of Commissioned Corps Operations (OCCO) will complete administrative reviews to ensure each officer complies with the following: medical requirements; basic readiness; licensure; and suitability clearance. Personnel orders will be issued after an officer executes the oath of office and returns it to the OCCO Assimilation Coordinator. |
Please note: Physical qualifications for assimilation include DD-Form-2808, “Report of Medical Examination,” within 5 years of nomination by the President, and DD-Form-2807-1, “Report of Medical History,” within 1 year of nomination. These forms are available on the Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS) Web site at http://dcp.psc.gov/DCPForms.asp under ‘Medical’. Officers can locate their medical information dates by entering the CCMIS ‘Secure Area’ and logging into the ‘Select Activity’ main page. |
The 2007 Assimilation Board met in May 2007 and the assimilation nomination package is expected to be forwarded to the Office of the Surgeon General in June. All officers reviewed by the 2007 Assimilation Board will receive letters this summer documenting the results. Officers are required to maintain compliance with all assimilation program requirements throughout the entire process. Officers must also maintain their current contact information, including e-mail address, at all times. Please enter the ‘Update Contact Information’ section on the ‘Select Activity’ main page within the CCMIS ‘Secure Area’ to update contact information. |
Please direct all assimilation inquiries to the OCCO Assimilation Coordinator, LCDR
