Division of Commissioned Corps Officer Support Travel and Transportation Reminder:
Travel and Transportation Information Center and Shipping Officers |
|
Please be aware that the Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS)
Web site (http://dcp.psc.gov) contains a Travel and Transportation Information Center
located under the ‘Services’ tab. The Travel and Transportation Information Center
contains important information concerning permanent change of station (PCS) and
temporary duty (TDY) travel.
|
|
Officers should use the Travel and Transportation Information Center for initial
basic questions related to their travel. It provides information such as basic travel
allowances, links to official travel forms, Joint Federal Travel Regulations (which
govern uniform service members’ travel), and a listing of shipping officers for
the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Operating Divisions/Staff Divisions
(OPDIVs/STAFFDIVs) as well as non-HHS organizations to which Corps officers are
detailed.
|
|
Shipping officer contact information is listed in the Travel and Transportation
Information Center under the PCS section. Officers should take special note of the
link to shipping officers when preparing for a PCS and intending to ship household
goods (HHG). Each OPDIV/STAFF/non-HHS organization has an assigned shipping officer
to coordinate the shipment of HHG. When officers receive PCS orders necessitating
shipment of HHG, they must contact the gaining OPDIV/STAFFDIV/non-HHS organization
shipping officer and submit form PHS-4013-1, “Application for Shipment of Household
Goods,” (http://dcp.psc.gov – under ‘Services’ and ‘Official Forms’) with a copy
of their orders. Important: Do not move
your household goods until you receive orders.
|
|
Officers required to coordinate their move through Prudential Relocation may call
Prudential Relocation’s shipping officer before they receive orders. Officers working
with Prudential Relocation will still need official orders to ship household goods.
Important: Do not move your household goods until you receive orders.
