CAPT Nina Mezu-Nwa

CAPT Nina Mezu-Nwaba is a pharmacist with the United States Public Health Service. Currently, she serves as the Deputy Office Director for Office of Neurological and Physical Medicine Devices, Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In this role, she provides oversight on all ventures pertaining to compliance and postmarket work.

She also provides supervision for premarket work on devices used in over nine areas, including neuromodulation and neurostimulation devices, stroke, aneurysm, depression, pain, and opioid addiction.

Recently, she served as the Deputy Program Director for the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response/Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Whitehouse COVID Testing Task Force. She has over 21 years of clinical, scientific, and regulatory experience in both the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and CDRH.
