LCDR Jaison Eapen, CSP, CQA

EPAC Events Subcommittee Vice Chair

LCDR Eapen serves as a project officer to the Administration for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) in Washington, D.C. He now serves as a subject matter expert and manages a portfolio of projects for Pharmaceutical Fill-Finish Industrial Base expansion, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient expansions, and management of the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) Network. 

LCDR Jaison Eapen began his Commissioned Corps career in 2017 as a Lieutenant with the Food and Drug Administration in Jamaica, NY. As part of the Northeast Medical Products Laboratory, he conducted chemical and analytical testing on various pharmaceutical products, was the lead chemical laboratory trainer, safety monitor, and led efforts for laboratory modernization. His next duty station was in Rockville, MD as a Consumer Safety Officer, where he conducted domestic and international pharmaceutical facility inspections, investigations, and special projects.  

LCDR Eapen was born and raised in New Jersey. He graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2013 and a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2014. He is a current member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, American Society for Quality, Society of American Military Engineers, Commissioned Officers Association, and American Society of Safety Professionals among others. LCDR Eapen spends in spare time in the boxing ring, practicing jiu jitsu, and spending time with his wife, Rose, and puppy, Coco.
