CDR Gary Riley, P.E., BCEE
EPAC Information Subcommittee Chair
CDR Riley is Chief of the Environmental Operations Branch for the Pacific West Region of the National Park Service. He manages the Region’s contaminated site response program, oversees environmental compliance assessment, and advises regional and park management and staff on a range of environmental engineering topics including wildfire and spill cleanup. Prior to NPS, CDR Riley was a project manager in the Superfund program of USEPA Region 9 in San Francisco. Before commissioning, he worked at EPA, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, and in engineering consulting.
CDR Riley serves as mentor in the EPAC mentoring program and was a member of the Information Subcommittee prior to becoming a voting member of EPAC.
CDR Riley has an B.S. degree in environmental engineering from Northwestern University and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington. He is a registered civil engineer in California, a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in hazardous waste management, and a member of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
