LCDR Martin is currently a Project Officer at ASPR/BARDA. His immediate focus is on directing over $500MM in projects to expand domestic manufacture of medical countermeasures, e.g. COVID-19 vaccines, etc. Before starting at BARDA in 2021, he was stationed at Food and Drug Administration from 2015-2021, where he accelerated advanced manufacturing and critically evaluated biotech manufacturing including novel COVID-19 vaccines.
LCDR Martin’s prior education and experience include: 2010-2015 Postdoc and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Nebraska, 2006-2010 Process Engineer at Catalent, and 2000-2006 BS Mechanical Engineering and BS Biomedical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. LCDR Martin enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and three kids.
