      U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Scientific and Training Symposium 
      (formerly the USPHS Professional Conference) sponsored by the USPHS 
      Commissioned Officers Foundation. The 2007 event will be held 3-7 June 2007 at the Duke Energy Convention Center and the Millennium

				| The theme of the 2007 meeting is “The Many 
						Faces of Public Health.” Highlights of the 2007 Symposium will include: |

							An opening day panel featuring the leaders 
								of the major Federal agencies that address public health issues. This panel 
								will explore current and future issues facing the public health community. 
						
							The Luther Terry Lecture, which will be 
								delivered by RADM W. Craig Vanderwagen, Assistant Secretary for Public Health 
								Emergency Preparedness. 
						
							A full-day of training to meet 
								requirements for crisis response, including Tier 3 training.
						
							 Immunization training for 
								pharmacists and dentists. 
						
							A full day of profession-specific sessions 
								for all 11 categories of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health 
								Service. 
						
							An exhibit hall featuring more than 100 
								vendors demonstrating the latest products and services of benefit to public 
								health professionals. 
						
							Global Health Summit II, 2007 Improving 
								Global Health and Safety through Diplomacy, which will take place on 3 June.
