Call for Nominations for 2008 Pharmacist Responder of the Year Award  Deadline Date: 10 December 2007

The Awards Committee of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (Corps) Pharmacist Professional Advisory Committee (PharmPAC) announces the 2008 Pharmacist Responder of the Year Award.

This award recognizes a pharmacist (Corps, civil service, or temporary federalized responder) who has provided outstanding emergency preparedness, disaster response, and contributions to national or international public health threats within the past 12 months.

Please take the time to nominate a deserving pharmacist (Corps, civil service, temporary federalize responder) for this award. If a Corps officer is the recipient of the 2008 Pharmacist Responder of the Year Award, the officer’s name will be forwarded to the Office of Force Readiness and Deployment (OFRD) to be part of OFRD’s nominees for the Commissioned Corps Responder of the Year Award. In the event that the PharmPAC selects a civil servant or a temporary federalized responder as the recipient of the award, then the name of the Corps officer who received the highest ranking from the PharmPAC will be forwarded to OFRD.
