The Therapist Professional Advisory Committee (TPAC) is seeking new members. The
TPAC is composed of officers of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health
Service (Corps) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) civil service
therapists (audiologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language
pathologists, respiratory therapists) and serves as an active link between the Office
of the Surgeon General and therapists working in the HHS Operating Divisions (OPDIV)
or Staff Divisions (STAFFDIV) or in non-HHS organizations to which officers are
assigned.
To be eligible for membership, you must be a category therapist and a full-time
OPDIV/STAFFDIV or non-HHS organization employee. Please see the TPAC Web site for

The TPAC meets six times annually via
teleconferencing and new appointments serve 3-year terms. A
self-nomination form can be obtained from LT Barrett or from the
TPAC Web site under Administration Committee.
The
deadline to submit a nomination is 12 February
2010. All self-nomination forms should be faxed to the
attention of CDR Laura Grogan, TPAC Chair, fax number 719-526-3088
and to LT Christopher Barrett, TPAC Executive Secretary, fax number
240-453-8282. In addition, a current curriculum vitae and cover
letter stating your interest to serve on the TPAC should be e-mailed
