| Using Direct Access to View Job Postings | |

Effective 31 July, VATS (the Commissioned Corps Jobs Vacancy Database) no longer displays job postings. Officers of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (Corps) can now use Direct Access to view new job postings placed after 31 July. For officers who have never logged into Direct Access, please find instructions, ID, and password information in the Secure Area of the Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS) Web site (http://dcp.psc.gov/SecureArea.asp). Please change the Direct Access password once you have successfully entered Direct Access, and provide a password reminder when prompted by Direct Access. Officers can view job postings in Direct Access through Self-Service by following the directions in the PHS Self-Service Procedure Guide at http://www.uscg.mil/ppc/phs/. An overview of Direct Access in available at www.usphs.gov/transformation. Please note that there will not be many job postings in Direct Access at this time because it is a new system. As Commissioned Corps Liaisons and Office of Commissioned Corps Operations (OCCO) staff members enter new job postings, the list will grow. Applicants to the Corps are encouraged to subscribe to the Commissioned Corps Jobs Listserver, located at http://dcp.psc.gov/v_maillist.asp. Jobs will continue to be posted to this Listserv for all who have subscribed. |
