If you did not receive the latest message from the Director of the Office of Reserve Affairs (ORA) distributed via e-mail on 15 January 2010, please follow the directions below to update your contact information.

To maintain your status in the Inactive Reserve and eligibility for activation, you need to verify your contact information annually with ORA and the Office of Commissioned Corps Operations (OCCO) as they are responsible for maintaining officer records and creating orders for your tours. To update/verify your correct contact information, you need to do two things:

  1.  send your name, phone number and email address to irc@hhs.gov
  2.  Go to http://dcp.psc.gov/ and select the button on the bottom left corner of the Web site entitled “Update Inactive Reserve Data.” Please login using your last name and social security number and update your information.

Inactive Reserve Corps Medical Officer Receives Recognition

Inactive Reservist CAPT Otis Brawley, USPHPS (Res.) is one of the leaders in the field of cancer research and education in his current position as Chief Medical Officer of the American Cancer Society. Inactive Reserve Corps Spotlight – CAPT James Hayslett, USPHS (Res.)

CAPT James Hayslett, USPHS (Res.) was deployed by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Emergency Operations Center in response to H1N1 from December 7, 2009 to January 14, 2010. CAPT Hayslett, a pharmacy officer, served as a liaison officer. CAPT Hayslett provided situational awareness to Department of Health and Human Services/ASPR/Office of Preparedness and Emergency Operations senior leadership and operational components through the timely dissemination of information while providing a conduit for timely resolution of inquiries by regional operational components
