Medical Affairs Branch Submission Protocol for Immunization Data

When submitting immunizations data to the Office of Commissioned Corps Support Services, Medical Affairs Branch (MAB), please indicate what information is new and needs to be updated. You can do so by circling the new information or making notation on the cover sheet.

In most instances, MAB receives such data in addition to a vast array of current information, i.e., the officer’s entire shot record. When this happens, MAB purges through each item, compares it to the information on file, figures out what items are current, and identifies those that need to be updated. This can be cumbersome, time consuming, and delay vital updates needed for promotions, mission readiness, etc.
This additional step will take minimal effort on the officer’s part, but will greatly enhance MAB’s ability to verify and update information in an accurate and expeditious manner.
