National Institutes of Health to Hold Annual Promotion Ceremony on 31 July 2008 The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold its 6th Annual Commissioned Corps Promotion Ceremony on Thursday, 31 July, at 1:00 p.m. in the Masur Auditorium in the Warren Grant Magnuson Clinical Center (Building 10) on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Deputy Director for Intramural Research at NIH, Dr. Michael Gottesman, will provide opening remarks and the Acting Surgeon General, RADM Steven Galson, will exchange officers’ shoulder boards, indicating their achievement of promotion. NIH officers called to active duty and retired in the past year will also be acknowledged at the ceremony. NIH is proud to honor the accomplishments and dedication of its officers in the presence of family, friends, and fellow officers. Please join us in this celebration. The uniform of the day will be Summer White or Service Dress Blue.
