The Awards Committee of the Pharmacist Professional Advisory Committee (PharmPAC), Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (Corps), calls for nominations for the Pharmacist Responder of the Year Award.
This award recognizes a pharmacist (Corps officer, civil service employee, or temporary federalized responder) who has provided outstanding emergency preparedness, disaster response, and contributions to national or international public health threats within the past 12 months.
Details of the award criteria and nomination packets are available on the Award Section of the PharmPAC Web site –
http://www.usphs.gov/corpslinks/pharmacy/award2.html
Please take the time to nominate a deserving pharmacist (Corps officer, civil service employee, or temporary federalized responder) for this award. If a Corps officer is the recipient of the Pharmacist Responder of the Year Award, the officer’s name will be forwarded to the Office of Force Readiness and Deployment (OFRD) in the Office of the Surgeon General as a nominee for the Commissioned Corps Responder of the Year Award. In the event that the PharmPAC selects a civil service employee, or a temporary federalized responder as the recipient of the award, then the name of the Corps officer who received the highest ranking from the PharmPAC will be forwarded to OFRD.
