The Office of Commissioned Corps Force Management (OCCFM) is scheduled to participate in the pre-conference workshop titled "A Day with OCCO, OCCFM, and Transformation" on 23 May at the USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium in San Diego, CA. In preparation for this event, OCCFM developed a short survey addressing the following topics:
  • Legal Issues Affecting Commissioned Corps Officers;
  • Demonstration of the 2010 Commissioned Officers’ Effectiveness Report;
  • Policy Development and Legislative Agenda; and
  • Commissioned Corps Pays and Benefits.
A sincere ‘thank you’ is extended to all who took the time to respond – your feedback is truly valued. Based on response results, the following topics will be addressed at the pre-conference workshop:
  • 2010 Commissioned Officers’ Effectiveness Report;
  • Policy Development; and
  • Post-Retirement
Restrictions. Due to limited time, not all focus areas will be addressed at the pre-conference workshop. However, all survey responses will be reviewed and feedback provided via future communications (e.g., Commissioned Corps Bulletin articles, Q&As, fact sheets, etc.).

Note: Approximately 2 weeks following the conference, PowerPoint slides of OCCFM’s presentation will be provided for online access at http://www.phscofevents.org/.
