Therapist PAC’s Call for Nominations for Membership
Deadline Date: 15 February 2007

The Therapist Professional Advisory Committee (TPAC) is seeking new members. The TPAC is composed of therapist officers in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (Corps) and civil service physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists. The TPAC serves as an active link between the Office of the Surgeon General and therapists working in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Operating Divisions (OPDIVs) and Staff Divisions (STAFFDIVs) as well as Corps officers serving in non-HHS organizations. The TPAC meets six times annually via teleconferencing. To be eligible for membership, you must be a therapist and a full-time OPDIV/STAFFDIV employee or a Corps officer serving in a non-HHS organization. Please visit our Web site for more information – http://www.cc.nih.gov/rm/pt/tpac.htm.

New appointments serve a 3-year term. Self-nominations are encouraged. A self-nomination form can be obtained from your TPAC agency/area field representative. One may also be found attached to the December meeting minutes. The deadline for submission of nominations is 15 February 2007. All self-nomination forms should be faxed to the attention of: CDR Kathleen O’Neill-Manrique, TPAC Chair, at fax number 928-737-6153 and to LCDR Corey Dahl, TPAC Executive Secretary, at fax number 240-276-9820.
