Transformation Update – April 2008 One-Stop Source of Information on Transformation

As promised in the 6 December 2007 letter to the officers of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (Corps) from RADM Steven K. Galson, Acting Surgeon General, and RADM Sam Shekar, Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Health for Transformation, (http://dcp.psc.gov/ccbulletin/PDF_docs/January_Transformation%20Update.pdf) a new section of the www.usphs.gov Web site has been created to be a resource to Corps officers during the transformation process. Visit www.usphs.gov and select Active Duty PHS Officers and then Transformation.  The site is a one-stop source of information on transformation activities and events. Here you will find background documents regarding transformation, PowerPoint presentations containing Transformation updates, frequently asked questions and answers, contacts who can answer additional questions, and highlights from officers who are working to realize the vision of a transformed Corps. This Web page will continue to expand and be updated on a periodic basic, so check back frequently.
