Atlanta Area Commissioned Corps 2010 Promotion Ceremony
The Atlanta Commissioned Officers Association (ACOA), in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), will host its annual Commissioned Corps Promotion Ceremony on 23 July 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Tom Harkin Global Communications Center, Auditorium A, Building 19, 1600 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA.

Officers of the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (Corps) from Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Operating Divisions and non-HHS organizations, including the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Food and Drug Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Environmental Protection Agency, CDC, and ATSDR will be participating.

The ceremony honors officers who have been recognized for their accomplishments by receiving a promotion in rank during the 2010 Promotion Year. Senior officials from CDC, Office of the Secretary, and the Corps will attend and participate in the replacement of the officers’ shoulder boards.
