      • Counseling Services:  Smoking cessation counseling from a TRICARE-authorized provider in the United States
      • TRICARE will cover two quit attempts each year.
      • A third quit attempt in the same year may be covered with physician justification and pre-authorization.
    • Smoking Cessation Medications: Medications at no cost, including both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC)
      • You must have a prescription from a TRICARE-authorized provider for any smoking cessation medication, including OTCs.

      • The Freedom From Smoking® group clinic consists of eight sessions. It is delivered by an American Lung Association-trained facilitator in a small-group setting (usually 8–10 people), so participants get personalized attention.
