Awards

Mission Statement:

The goal of the APAOC Awards Subcommittee is to promote the recognition of Asian Pacific American officers and their notable accomplishments. This goal is accomplished by the following:

  • RADM Kenneth Moritsugu Award (Junior Officer of the Year Award)
  • RADM Samuel Lin Award (Senior Officer of the Year Award)
  • CAPT Allan Lock Award (open to current or past voting members of APAOC)
  • Other competitive awards for APAOC nominees
  • Special Assignment Ribbon for APAOC voting members
  • Other recognition awards (e.g., Letter of Appreciation (LOA), Certificate of Appreciation (COA))

Goals for 2020:

  • To annually recognize and to promote the recognition of Asian Pacific American officers and their notable accomplishments through the CAPT Allan Lock Award, RADM Samuel Lin Award, and the RADM Kenneth Moritsugu Award
  • To recognize voting members who have completed over 30 hours of service to APAOC through the Special Assignment Ribbon
  • To recognize APAOC members for their service throughout the year with a Letter of Appreciation (LOA) or a Certificate of Appreciation (COA)
