There are many resources available to Dental Officers of the USPHS. The Dental Category Resource Manual* is a comprehensive resource manual. The material is organized by topic and easy to access. Pertinent Corps policies are explained and have corresponding hyperlinks to reference documents and web pages.  In addition, the Quick Reference Guide for New Dental Officers is available.  It has many useful information for junior officers.

The Mentoring Program has been developed to assist junior officers connect with a senior officer. This provides an opportunity for informal career counselling. Click on the Mentoring link to explore the possibilities.

Members of the USPHS Dental Corps have many opportunities to attend continuing dental education courses offered throughout the country. Click on the Continuing Ed button to see what is available.

The Junior Officer Advisory Group (JOAG) was established to provide a voice for all junior officers (O-4 and below) on issues affecting the future of the Commissioned Corps.  JOAG supports the Corps by supporting junior officers at the beginning of their careers and helps to mentor them in career development, fully recognizing the value of junior officers and their future role as the leadership of the Corps.  It would be beneficial to look at JOAG's website (https://dcp.psc.gov/osg/joag/) and get involved with this very active and enthusiastic group!
