The Career Development Subcommittee actively supports the Pharmacy Category by:
Maintaining the USPHS Pharmacist Career Development Guide and revising based on current policy, standards, and promotion benchmarks. The Guide is intended to help officers make decisions about their career path in order to achieve their professional goals.
Monitoring promotion document requirements to provide impactful guidance and training, to include CV guidance, COER, OS, and ROS guidance documents.
General Meeting Presentations
Advancing the expertise and leadership of the pharmacy category by inviting subject matter experts (SMEs) to present at PharmPAC General Meetings.
Offering mentoring tools and resources for successful mentor/mentee connection and relationship.
New Officer Welcoming
Providing new USPHS pharmacists orientation material and connecting them to PharmPAC’s communication networks through PHS-Pharmacists listserv subscription.
Recommending learning opportunities and skill development that will advance and enhance retention of professional knowledge and services of pharmacists in the USPHS.
Maintaining cross-agency continuing education series for a variety of healthcare professionals.
