About the HSPAC
The Health Services Professional Advisory Committee (HSPAC) represents the interest of all Health Services Officers (HSOs) that make up the Health Services Category. Additionally, the HSPAC provides advice and consultation to the Surgeon General, through the Health Services Chief Professional Officer (CPO) on issues related to professional practice and personnel activities of the Health Services Category of the Commissioned Corps.
The HSPAC Governing Documents (e.g., Charter, Bylaws and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)), guide the operations of the various HSPAC activities.
The HSPAC is split into Subcommittees that are responsible for managing that overall activities of the HSPAC. Additionally, the HSPAC has 10 discipline specific professional advisory groups (PAGs) that advise the HS Category and PAC leadership on discipline-specific professional topics and issues.
All HSOs are represented by the HSPAC and all, regardless of voting membership status, are welcome and encouraged to participate in the HSPAC; whether it’s through a Subcommittee or your discipline specific PAG. To volunteer all you have to do is contact a member of any of the Subcommittees or PAGs that interests you.
