"Multidisciplinary in Approach, Connected by Service, Advancing Public Health”

Welcome to the Health Services Professional Advisory Committee (HSPAC) website. The HSPAC provides advice and consultation to the Health Services Chief Professional Officer (CPO) on issues related to professional practice and personnel activities of the Health Services Category. Given the wide range of skills and experience possessed by this multi-disciplinary adre of HSOs, the HSPAC also has ten Professional Advisory Groups (PAGs) to address discipline-specific professional issues.

Health Services Category (HS) is one of eleven professional categories of the US Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps. With over 1,200 active duty health service officers (HSOs), representing 53 specific disciplines, the HS Category is not only the third largest professional category, it's also the most diverse category in the USPHS.

The HSO motto -- Multidisciplinary in Approach, Connected by Service, Advancing Public Health” -- attests to the wide range of skills and experience possessed by this multi-disciplinary team of officers and to their pride and commitment to serving in the Commissioned Corps.
