Deployment Roles: Discipline Specific Training

As Commissioned Corps officers, we proudly deploy in response to regional, national, and global events and disasters that threaten the health of our nation. Health Services Officers bring a variety of professional skill sets to support these ever-evolving challenges and it is our duty to ensure that our knowledge and skills remain current through continuous professional development and training.

To establish subject matter and technical expertise for Commissioned Corps deployment roles, the HSPAC has developed competencies for specific roles that align with the education, training, and disciplines of officers in the PAC. The Professional Advisory Groups (PAG) have defined the training and education requirements for each role and manage the suite of trainings designed to assist officers in achieving and maintaining competency in the appropriate deployment role.
