The Healthcare Administration Professional Advisory Group (HAPAG) functions in a resource and advisory capacity in the development, coordination, training and evaluation of activities related to Health Service Officers in healthcare administration. Under the guidance of the HS PAC and the Chief Professional Officer, our focus includes the following goals and objectives:

  • Advise the Surgeon General and Senior Officials on discipline specific matters.
  • Promote effective strategies to recruit and retain the best qualified PHS Healthcare Administrators.
  • Identify professional development opportunities and encourage a commitment for best practices.
  • Recognize the professional excellence of healthcare administrators at the annual COA meetings.
