Public Relations and Merchandise Subcommittee

Mission Statement: APAOC Public Relations (PR) and Merchandise Subcommittee communicate the mission of the United Public Health Service (USPHS) to the Asian Pacific American community, in addition to increasing the visibility and presence of APAOC.

Goals for 2019:

  • Promote participation in community and professional outreach events and other PACs (participate in at least 6 events)
  • Collaborate with officers outside of DC Metro Area by assisting members in organizing meet-and-greet events outside of DC metro area (at least 3 events)
  • Maintain accountability of funds from sales of APAOC t-shirts and coins

  • May 2019: Networking lunch during the USPHS Scientific & Training Symposium, Minneapolis, MN (Date TBD)
  • May 14, 2019: Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month Observance, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD
  • Social and professional outreach events - Host/Co-host local meet and greet social events (year-round)
