This summer, on Saturday, July 30th from 1900 to 2000 hours, the USPHS Music Ensemble will perform as part of a free public outdoor concert at one our Nation’s most respected and venerable monuments, the National World War II (WWII) Memorial. This event is going to be a momentous occasion for the ensemble and for the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, as hundreds of public spectators are expected to view the performance.
Some volunteer roles include:
For those providing volunteer transportation, we will be staging at the HHS building in downtown, Washington, DC, where parking will be arranged prior to the event.
Other volunteers (not providing transportation) are encouraged to take the Metro into downtown, as public parking will be limited on a busy summer weekend in Washington, D.C.
Your commitment as a volunteer for this special event will include three teleconferences, July 14, 21, and 28. The final organizational teleconference is 2 days prior to the event.
