Eligibility for competitive temporary and/or permanent grade promotion in the 2012 Promotion Year (PY) is now available on the first page of each officer’s Secure Area of the Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS) website.

As an additional customer service, officers who are eligible for competitive promotion will also receive an email message from the Office of Commissioned Corps Operations (OCCO) notifying the officer of his/her eligibility for promotion in PY 2012. Officers with questions about their eligibility should first review the requirements for promotion eligibility on the Promotion Information page of the CCMIS website before seeking assistance from their Commissioned Corps (CC) Liaison, Professional Advisory Committee, or the Promotion Coordinator.

The Promotion Information page of the CCMIS website has been updated for PY 2012. Officers who are eligible for promotion are strongly encouraged to review all pertinent sections for important information and helpful tips on the promotion board process, the 2012 Benchmarks, document submission to the electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF), submission deadlines, and administrative requirements for competitive and non-competitive promotions, etc. The Promotion Information page is accessible under the Services tab of the CCMIS website or http://ccmis.usphs.gov//promotions_table_of_contents.aspx.
