Commissioned Corps BulletinJanuary 4, 2018
Promotion Year 2018 Document Processing Status
The Promotion Year 2018 document submission deadline was December 31, 2017. Only previously rejected Office Statements (OS) are still being accepted through January 5, 2018 at 5 p.m. ET.
Immunizations, Basic Life Support (BLS), Credentials, Licensure, Reviewing Official Statements (ROSs) and paper COERs are still being processed. This information might not post until the end of January.
All documents submitted through eDOC-U by December 31, 2017 are available in your electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF). Please check your eOPF and Promotion Information Report (PIR) for accuracy. Only errors resulting from CCHQ processing will be corrected. Duplicate documents will not be removed. Contacts for error corrections are listed at the bottom of this article.
Below is additional information regarding processing timelines:
- Many officers submitted Officer Statements (OSs) without the correct document date of January 31, 2018 as instructed. ONLY previously rejected OSs will be accepted for resubmission. The deadline for resubmission is January 5, 2018 at 5 p.m. ET.
- Licensures submitted before January 2, 2018 should be available.
- Credentials submitted by December 14, 2017 should be available.
- Immunizations submitted before December 27, 2018 should be available.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) should be available within three business days of submission.
- All awards submitted by the November deadline will be processed by January 31, 2018.
- Official Transcripts will no longer be processed in Direct Access (DA) and a new process is under development for reflecting additional relevant degrees on the PIR. This will not occur before the 2018 Promotion Boards. Every effort will be made to index the original transcript in the meantime.
- Readiness reporting will not occur until February 2018. This should give CCHQ and officers time to update and correct data in the new RedDOG application.
REMINDER: You are responsible for ensuring your PIR and eOPF are correct. It is critical for you to read the directions provided at the bottom of the upload feature in eDOC-U and submit documents well in advance of the deadlines. More than 1,000 documents were uploaded on December 31, 2017. This does not leave any room for error or time for correction. Documents should be uploaded at least three weeks before the deadlines.
